Services Management in Ubuntu

There are many runlevels and many services in Debian as well as Ubuntu.

To manage the services for each runlevels,
Here is the tool.


sysv-rc-conf

Install it using

sudo apt-get install sysv-rc-conf

run it as

# sudo sysv-rc-conf

It is a command line tool  and enough capable of handling services.

It is the alternative to “chkconfig” in the Redhat based Distros.
