How to configure dialup connections in Ubuntu

Nowadays, Broadband is reaching small towns too.
BSNL Broadband has various plans like 500 Rs. etc.

For them, we have to dial-up to the BSNL server, and give our username and
password to get connected.

How to do dialup in linux?

pppoeconfig is the answer.

run           

sudo pppoeconfig

This will detect your pppoe network device and ask for provider_name, username, password etc.

To connect with internet i.e dial-up

pon provider_name

To disconnect from internet

poff
