ILUGC Monthly Meet – June 12, 20j21 – 3-5 pm – systemd – rsync

Indian Linux Users Group, Chennai [ ILUGC ] has been spreading
awareness on Free/Open Source Software (F/OSS) in Chennai since
January 1998.

We usually meet on the second Saturday of every month, and for the
month of June, we shall meet through IRC on Saturday 12, 2021 at 1500
IST.

We will be organizing this month’s meet through ILUGC’s Official IRC
channel (#ilugc in libera.chat).

Topic: systemd-networkd with networkctl

Description: In this talk, we will learn about systemd-networkd,
creating virtual network interfaces with systemd-networkd and
configuring those interfaces using systemd-networkd. Also, we will
learn about how to use networkctl commandline which is a cli frontend
for systemd-networkd.

Topic: Backing up files with RSync

Description: RSync is a command line tool for backing up files. It is
especially useful for taking incremental backups of files from a
remote machine. In this short talk, I’ll go over the basic usage of
RSync.
